Bruce E. Katz, MD - Director
Dr. Bruce Katz is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Director of the Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Clinic at Mount Sinai Medial Center, and Director of the Juva Skin & Laser Center in New York.
Dr. Katz, who has been named repeatedly by New York Magazine as one of the best doctors in New York, received his medical training at McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal, Canada. He completed his post-graduate training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident in Dermatology.
A frequent guest on national and international news shows, including The View, 20/20, Good Morning America and CNN, Dr. Katz is a leading innovator of advanced laser technology, smart and power liposuction, and skin rejuvenation techniques. He has published extensively in leading medical and scientific journals and lectures regularly at medical symposia in the United States and abroad.
A national spokesman for the Skin Cancer Foundation, Dr. Katz holds leadership positions in many local, state and national professional organizations. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. He is Past President of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York.
Dr. Bruck is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons. From 1985 to 1995 Dr. Bruck held the academic appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Bruck is now an attending physician at St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital.
After graduating from The Chicago Medical School, Dr. Bruck completed his general surgery training at New York University Medical Center and St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York. He continued his postgraduate training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery.
Dr. Bruck's expertise is in cosmetic plastic surgery including facial rejuvenation (facelift, eyelid surgery, and laser surgery) breast enlargement and reduction as well as body contouring (abdominoplasty/liposuction). Dr. Bruck combines state of the art techniques with sensitivity and the highest level of patient care.
Dr. Frew obtained her undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York City. She then received her medical degree from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University. After her internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in Internal Medicine, she completed her Dermatology Residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.
She has published in the medical literature and has presented at national meetings. Dr. Frew is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Michele Pauporte, MD
Dr. Pauporte is a board certified dermatologist and a Fellow in the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. She is also a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
After graduating form Hahnemann Medical School, Dr. Pauporte completed her internship at New York University Hospital. She continued her postgraduate training at the University of California, San Francisco in Dermatology and dermatologic surgery. She then completed a fellowhsip in Mohs micrographic surgery as well as in laser and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Pauporte's training and expertise is broad based. She is an expert in treating skin cancers using a very precise technique, Mohs micrographic surgery that removes only the cancerous tissue, while preserving the surrounding normal tissue. She then skillfully and artistically reconstructs the area. She is equally experienced performing laser and cosmetic dermatology using Botox, fillers such as Restylane and Radiesse, as well as improving scars and aging skin. She does all this with dedication, compassion and concern.
Marianne Pistilli, PA
Marianne Pistilli is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology. Ms. Pistilli received a BS from St. John’s University and an MBA from NYU. She received her Physician Assistant Degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University with an emphasis in dermatology and plastic surgery. Marianne has extensive cosmetic laser experience as a result of working with a laser leasing company. In that capacity she trained doctors and other medical professionals on the proper use of lasers for cosmetic and other dermatologic applications. More recently, Marianne has worked in general dermatology, Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology and surgery settings. She is expert at diagnosing and treating general dermatology conditions especially teenage and adult acne, skin cancer screenings and other related skin disorders.
Michael Ferranti,PA
Michael Ferranti is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in cosmetic, laser, general/surgical dermatology and STD medicine. He has been practicing as a PA since graduating Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA in 1995. He has worked in Dermatology for the past 8 years. Past specialties include Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Oncology . In 1997, Michael also helped to start and accredit the Lenox Hill Hospital/Pace University Physician Assistant Program and still is an adjunct professor.
