The third generation Smatlipo 1064nm Nd:YAG laser with greater energy enhancing its capacity to melt fat and tighten skin. A laser fiber in a 1mm cannula is introduced through a tiny incision in the skin to deliver energy energy directly to the fatty tissue causing fat cells to rupture and the fat to melt. The laser fiber also coagulates the dermis inducing collagen retraction and skin tightening. This procedure which is also known as laser - assisted lipolysis is a minimally invasive procedure with minimal downtime performed under local anesthesia.
