For more than 14 years, I’ve worked as a Registered Nurse and Medical Aesthetician, both of which have provided me with the opportunity to work with different aesthetic modalities that are covered by Aesthetic Medicine today. Throughout my years of experience, I’ve seen first-hand how the cosmetic industry is influencing the direction of many medical practices. The industry is growing exponentially every day as an increasing number of medical providers are looking to offer various aesthetic procedures, directly out of their offices. Laser Hair Removal, Radio Frequency technologies, Chemical Peels, Micro-dermabrasions and Non-surgical Fat Reduction procedures, just to name a few.
As a highly trained RN and Medical Aesthetician, I can state that the services provided and the results are not created equal. At JUVA Skin & Laser Center, we are focused on RESULTS and PATIENT SATISFACTION. In my department, we provide extensive free consultations in order to properly determine the best treatment modalities for each individual. We have more than 40 lasers on the premises to address every single issue you might have and treat you with the best equipment on the market.
A lot of the providers just have one laser and they try to treat all the various skin and hair problems with it. This becomes an issue as everyone has varying skin pigments and skin/hair types. One type of laser will not help resolve all of your issues. IPL machines, which are currently available, are not the best for Laser Hair Removal. They don’t treat all skin types and they don’t provide the best results. The laser that we provide is top rated in the market. We also have highly trained staff that have been performing the procedures for many years and get great results.
For example, you don’t need 20 laser hair removal sessions to get results; you need to ask your self is that really working. There are laser hair removal treatments for only $99, really, where is the catch? Again don’t trust any advertisements that state completely bare forever. Current studies suggest only up to 90% reduction on skin care groups I-III on the Fitzpatrick scale. And any hormonal changes stimulate dormant hair follicles to fire. We work with a lot of PCOS patients and we are working in collaboration with their OB-GYN doctors to control their hormones and thus lower new hair regrowth. Our patients consist of varying racial backgrounds and skin tones. If you are asking yourself, should I have a laser hair removal procedure, if I have the above conditions? The answer is, YES. You will not have 90 % reduction because of the new hair regrowth but you will have finer, less hair distribution, less marks from ingrown hairs and a better skin complexion.
In brief, JUVA Skin & Laser Center can be your one stop Aesthetic Medical Office. We have all the lasers you might need and we have highly trained staff. Our office is a state-of-the-art facility that provides our patients with a place to relax and trust the results they can achieve.
