Laser hair removal and hair growth phases
Laser hair removal works best on hair that is in the growth phase. During this phase, hair follicles have more pigment than they do at other times, making them more susceptible to absorbing the laser energy. Roughly 75% of your hair is in the growth phase at all times. In order to ensure that all your unwanted hair is removed, you’ll need to repeat the process several times. During your subsequent treatments, any hairs that were previously in the transition or resting phase but are currently in the growth phase will be addressed. It usually takes 4 to 6 laser hair removal treatments to achieve the results you want.
