Downtime after Cellulaze
There are two kinds of cellulite treatment: those that don’t require any downtime and those that work.
There are plenty of treatments out there that advertise that you can get cellulite treatment without any downtime. At their best, these are inexpensive creams, superficial massages, and body wraps. These don’t cost that much, and sometimes have other benefits. Massages are comfortable, wraps are luxuriant, and a lot of the creams smell really nice. They do. Try these out if you want, you might enjoy them and you won’t set yourself back too far.
At their worst, these other cellulite treatments cost hundreds or thousands of dollars for repeated treatments for treatments that have not been clinically proven to reduce cellulite. We recommend that you avoid these, although they’re generally harmless, too, except for the cost in dollars and time. And they don’t smell as nice.
Cellulaze, though, is a cellulite treatment that is designed to directly target the components of cellulite:
- Connective tissue
To truly diminish cellulite, you have to restructure these tissues, and that means causing some level of injury, albeit a very controlled and directed one, so that your body can heal in a way that dramatically reduces your cellulite.
Downtime from Cellulaze is relatively minor. Expect to take 1 day off from work and one week off from strenuous activities, although this varies significantly from person to person.
During your consultation, we will talk about Cellulaze recovery and downtime, among any other concerns or questions you may have about the procedure. Please contact JUVA Skin & Laser Center in NYC to schedule your consultation.
